Khaliah here. Thank you to those who responded to my comment. I really appreciate the feedback. My thing is that I just dont want to see Jaheim do anything to damage his beautiful voice which, to me, is like a fine-tuned instrument. What Stradivarius was to the violin, Jaheim is to a song: a gifted, heavenly voiced singer whos about the only one in music today who can really sing. Jah truly earns his money because he doesnt need to studio trickery to enhance his voiceits naturally occurring. Though Ive never seen or heard him live, I bet he sounds as good live as he does on record. Too bad hes so undersung. Jaheim should be singing theme songs to movies, or using his talent to voice-over jingles for commercials. Too many times, our silky soul singers go the wrong way in their personal lives: they use drugs, smoke cigarettes, drink to excess, party too hard, or other behaviors that can damage their gift or rob them of it. Even if we dont say it, we all know that most of us are hurt at what happened to Whitney. We wonder how this woman, with this instrument of a voice, let what happened to her occur. Where were her priorities? Didnt she know that she was that good? Where did it all go wrong? I admit that now I really dont want to hear anything from her. I hope Jah knows hes that good, and its worth it to vigorously care for his voice.
Not to disparage any of the following vocalists, but who do we have today: Anthony Hamilton has a beautiful voice, but he might crack along the way; Usher is still sowing his oats so all his songs are about sex, romp and no circumstance; can we really believe R. Kelly, a talented singer/songwriter/musician, but fathers, lock up your daughters; Maxwell might go away again; Musiq, also a thrice-gifted artist, doesnt possess the voice nor the bearing; Trey Songz couldnt bust a grape in a grape factory; Chris Brown will come back, but only in urban markets (everythings dependent on if the mainstream forgives him); even though he keeps hanging in thereand rightfully soPrince is playing off the respect and reverence his fans have for him; Johnny Gill with his beautiful voice hasnt done a thing in 15 years; and DAngelo (such a sad story) got a big L on his forehead for loser. And for the record, wheres Miles Jaye, Keith Washington, Christopher Williams, and Jeffrey Osborneartists with beautiful voices who have just faded away? Jaheim has the voice to carry us in to the new millenniumhe can carry the torch.
So basically thats my point. I appreciate when a person, whether male or female, can bring something to the table and make you actually visualize in your mind the story they are telling. As I said, Jahs delivery is impeccable, his voice is beautiful, and I truly hope he has staying power.

Jah, please don't screw up your voice with cigarettes and drugs like your female counterpart, Whitney Houston, did. A voice like yours comes once in a lifetime, and if you let it get away, it never comes again! Please cherish the gift that God gave you and take care of it with good habits and clean living. You are filling that void left by Marvin, Teddy, and Luther. While there are other good singers out there today, none have the beauty and the passion that your voice has; not to mention your impeccable delivery! Please take care of yourself. I love the new single and have downloaded it and can't go a day without hearing it. You are on your way! Keep it up!
jaheim i think your music is the shit from your first album to this one but here is my problem with you you need to come in concert you have made support i think your fans deserve to see you in person not just video hope to see you soon keep up the good work

BTW - I failed to mention that I listen to this album every day. I'm about to get another copy, because it's a nuisance to keep removing the CD from my truck to take into the office, back to the truck and then in to our home.

Your songs are so beautiful each one tells a story that we grown folk (30+) today can relate to and the beats OMG. I'm so proud of you and how you've evolved in your music. I loved your first album also. But this one is amazing! Don't stop, none of the artists out their today can touch your voice. Keep rocking!

Hey man my wife and were on the way to a break up. until i heard in my hands. The song told me why I got married. We fought alot and cursed each other alot. What I am saying is you saved us kid. We have been married 18 years with three kids it was tough kid. Folk, you went ham on this song as my nephew would say. You touch the rest button for me for my wife. It made me remember why I married her and what it means to be the man of the house. See you are nothingt unless you feel these things folk because you live for her, you provide for her its unconditonal. We made a commitment and after this song I had a sense of failure. You renewed that passion for my special spouse my wife. look if you never read this it was great for me to put these words in text love you for this J keep doing what you are doing its working folk.
